Cleo graduated from the University of Florida College of Nursing and has enjoyed her nursing career specializing in management and critical care. Before returning to her hometown of Fort Pierce, she lived and worked in Gainesville, Miami, and Oklahoma City. In addition to having a positive effect on patient outcomes, Cleo enjoyed being a part of the healthcare team.
One of her dreams was to work in education and have holidays and weekends off. That dream became reality when she retired from nursing and became a tutor in the Academic Support Center (ASC) on Main Campus in 2008. In addition to teaching drug calculations to the nursing students, Cleo is the ASC team leader for math, science, and health sciences. Working with the staff and students in the ASC and meeting the challenges of her multifaceted job are very rewarding. Her interests are husband and family, friends, gaming, cooking, the beach, arts and crafts, and volunteering in the community. She has two daughters and three grandchildren.
