Meet the Mueller Campus ASC Staff
Lara graduated from Florida State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in finance. After graduation, she moved to Hawaii where she worked in the field of personal finance. In 1996, she returned to Florida and began what she thought would be a temporary job with Indian River State College as an adjunct instructor in the Adult Education Department. It didn’t take long for her to realize that she had found a home at IRSC. After a transfer to the Mueller Campus to coordinate the GED program in Indian River County, she transitioned to a position as the team leader in the Mueller Campus Academic Support Center. In 2016, she became the ASC Manager at the Mueller Campus.
Lara is married with three children. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children play sports, camping, and spending time at the beach.
Carole Crowe earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has tutored English and reading in our ASC for fifteen years and has also taught college-level and developmental English courses.
Carole lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean for fourteen years before becoming a Vero Beach landlubber in 2000. While cruising, she began writing children's fiction and articles about the many interesting characters she met. When in port—for at least a semester—she taught writing and literature courses at the University of the Virgin Islands. She loves reading mysteries and taking long vacations in New Mexico.
