Cindy Bolton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in marine biology from Barrington College, Barrington R.I., and her Master of Arts in biological oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology. Her work experience includes acting as a naturalist for a state forest in New Jersey. She has worked in various areas of research including artificial reefs, crab aquaculture, and mollusk ecology. She has been an adjunct faculty member at IRSC for twenty years, teaching a variety of biology and oceanography classes. She also instructs workshops in difficult topics in general biology.
Cindy shares her life with her husband of over thirty years and has one child and one grandchild. She volunteers as an administrator and archery instructor for Land O’ Sunshine Camp Cedarbrook. She enjoys snorkeling, kayaking, and oil painting. She also does freelance digital and fractal art. Sabra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University in 1993 and studied mathematics here at IRSC. She taught middle grade mathematics for ten years and has been an adjunct in the ASC since 2011. She delights in helping those who are intimidated by math become comfortable and competent math students.
In her spare time, Sabra enjoys body boarding, Latin and ballroom dancing, and rescuing injured and orphaned wildlife. SUBJECTS TUTORED: English Math (Algebra, Geometry, Statistics) |
Ross Crittenden has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. He has worked in the public schools as a math teacher and has been an adjunct math instructor at IRSC since early 1990s.
Ross and his wife, Sandy, have two children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include walking, biking, swimming, cooking out, and fun with the grandchildren. Charles Hansen, Jr., did undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee (GO BIG ORANGE) in Knoxville. His major was music education. His graduate work was at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He also earned an Associate of Arts degree from Chattanooga State Community College in accounting. He did his math work here at IRSC and has been here since 2002.

Tom has worked at IRSC since 1998 and previously worked in the healthcare, social service, and education sectors. Tom has a Master’s degree in education and has also completed the coursework for a Master’s degree in health services administration. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Indian River County and is current President of the Board of SafeSpace, the Treasure Coast’s only certified domestic violence shelter.
Tom is an avid golfer, reader, and photographer and enjoys, along with his wife Candee, annual summer trips to Ireland. He is the proud father of two daughters and very proud grandfather of five grandchildren. Jeff Oakes received his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Northern Colorado in 1984 and studied nuclear physics/engineering and mathematics at the University of New Mexico.
He has been in a wheelchair since 1973 because of a traffic accident caused by a drunk driver. A Denver Broncos fan, he has been married since 1999 to wife Lynn, a longtime Vero Beach resident and Miami Dolphins fan. Jeff has tutored in the ASC for thirteen years. Everett received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Economic Statistics from the University of Illinois. After graduation, Everett served in the United States Air Force, and after his service, Everett launched a thirty-year career in systems engineering, education, marketing and management with IBM. When he retired, Everett decided to expand his expertise to teaching mathematics and did so for fifteen years at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois. Widowed in 2016, Everett moved to Vero Beach where he joined the tutoring staff at Indian River State College’s Mueller Campus Academic Support Center.
Everett’s interests include running, walking, swimming, golf, recreational math, and theology. His greatest joy, however, is spending time with his two daughters, two sons-in-law, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
